K2 Design Lab wins BIG SEE Interior Design Award 2026 for “Purple Matter” workplace project

We are proud to share that K2 Design Lab has been awarded the BIG SEE Interior Design Award 2026 for our project “Purple Matter” in Bucharest, Romania. This recognition places “Purple Matter” among outstanding international interior design works and celebrates its contribution to thoughtful, adaptive workplace design.

Receiving the BIG SEE Interior Design Award 2026 highlights the project’s design quality and relevance within the regional and international design community. It also reinforces our commitment to creating environments that elevate daily work experiences and reflect a clear understanding of functional and cultural needs.

The concept, developed by K2 Design Lab, explored a minimalist aesthetic complemented by metallic surfaces that amplified the interplay of shapes and light. The space was transformed into a scenography of pure geometry and expressive materiality. The spectacular décor, completed by Maison Dadoo, translated an artistic vision into a memorable visual experience. Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week 2025 will take place between 15th and 18th October.

Our concepts Community Wasl and BAYT Blocks were recently featured in ArchDaily as part of their coverage of the Dubai House of the Future competition. Organized by Buildner together with the Government of Dubai, the competition called on designers around the globe to envision a new model of Emirati living — one that is adaptable, climate-conscious, and grounded in tradition.
